Goldence LTD knows that strength not only lies in our words, but in our actions as well. 

 

Founded in 2016, Goldence LTD inspires action, serves donors and supports communities. We are an organization that is women owned and operated, driven by a firm belief in the power of humanity and the  ability to make an impact in our local community.

 

 We are committed to providing aftercare for horses that can no longer race, and focus our efforts on thoroughbred horses that come from trainers and tracks in the Midwest.

VALERIE K.

PRESIDENT

Corporate accounting and technology professional that specializes in data analytics, technology and financial accounting. A graduate of Purdue with a background consisting of about 10 years in the pharmaceutical space. More recently working with larger corporations to handle financial reporting through technology solutions. Currently Director of Data Development at an insurance firm.

  

Her hobbies include involvement with the equestrian community where she is an avid rider, instructor and currently seeking judge credentialing with the USEF. Goldence was created after Valerie rescued an off the track thoroughbred, Golden. Since she has become an advocate for providing second careers for horses that have been retired from their racing career. This venture has allowed her to combine her passion for teaching, love of horses and enthusiasm for community involvement.

VINOS Y.

TREASURER

Vinos attended Wayne State University in Michigan and received a Bachelors in Accounting in 2008.  She has since continued her education  by obtaining a Masters in Accounting & Taxation in 2016.  She currently works for a CPA firm as an accountant working with corporate and individual tax returns.  Since accounting is her passion, she has decided to pursue her CPA certification. 

 

After being introduced to the idea of Goldence Ltd and the company mission, Vinos was intrigued and wanted to bring her passion for accounting and her love of helping the community together by joining the Board of Directors.

CHRISTINA C.

BOARD MEMBER

Christina grew up around horses by participating in 10 years of 4H and began her hunter/jumper experience in middle school. She continued her experience by participating on the Purdue Equestrian Team, and working as a student for a local farm. While working on the farm she participated in the Kentucky Equine Management Internship program to learn more about the Thoroughbred industry.  Since then she has continued her love of training and riding to her current position as a riding instructor at Sport Horse Inc where she passes the love of being an equestrian to young riders.  

​Christina’s education is a degree in Animal Sciences with a minor in Biology and Wildlife from Purdue University.   After working for several years as a veterinary assistant, she has continued her career as a study technician.
